Guadalupe

Guadalupe is the youngest of a big family of six children. His brothers carry him on their shoulders, and his sister is his “little mom.” They love him very much, and are protective and proud of him.

When he was just three months old, Guadalupe was at the pediatrician’s office to get his first immunizations. The doctor saw mucus in Guadalupe’s nose and was trying to get it out with a tube when he suddenly stopped breathing. His mom took him in for an MRI, which showed a brain tumor.

Since then, Guadalupe has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy. His doctors at St. Luke’s continue to look for new treatments and clinical trials to cure his cancer, and his family has never given up the fight. He’s making progress with his therapists, who believe in and support his ability to grow, develop, and learn.
