Saturday, May 20, was a very exciting day for the St. Luke’s family and our community. On that day, we celebrated the generosity of donors who have helped make the new St. Luke’s Children’s Pavilion a reality.
This $42 million facility will offer state-of-the-art care and give us much-needed space. We anticipate work will be completed by early 2019, giving our youngest patients and their families access to pediatric specialists and support services together in one location. When a child is sick it can be a very stressful time for a family. Bringing these services together helps remove some of the burden that comes from taking a child to multiple provider visits over multiple days; instead they can see providers at a single location on the same day.
I am touched by the support St. Luke’s has received from this community and am honored to be a part of this endeavor that will ultimately serve many of our families and children.
Saturday was an important milestone in our journey, and that is certainly reason to celebrate. The Children’s Hospital construction crew takes a break during the Children’s Pavilion Celebration on Saturday, May 20 in Boise.
