    Biography

    Joshua G. Barton, MD is the medical director of St. Luke's Clinic – Center for Pancreatic and Liver Diseases and fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His specialty is the surgical treatment of pancreatic, biliary, liver, and stomach diseases as well as bariatric surgery including laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. He also has extensive experience using the daVinci surgical robot. 

    Dr. Barton actively participates in several professional organizations, including the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract, Pancreas Club, and the American Hepato-Biliary Association.

    Dr. Barton is originally from Texas and was raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. He received his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and his medical degree from the University of Texas – Houston. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma. He obtained additional training in hepato-pancreato-biliary and advanced GI surgery at the Mayo Clinic.

  • Biography

    Lindsay Shedd, PA-C has a special interest in the early detection and prevention of pancreatic cancer, specifically in patients who are considered high risk. She founded and continues to lead the Pancreatic Cyst Surveillance Program and Pancreatic Cancer Screening Program. 

    Lindsay earned her bachelor's degree in biology from State University of New York at Stony Brook and her master’s degree in medical science from Yale University School of Medicine. She began her clinical training at Yale New Haven Hospital. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is an active member and returning presenter for the Idaho Association of Physician Assistants. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society for Surgical Oncology
