Certified nurse-midwives are advance practice nurses with master's degrees in nursing and training in pregnancy, birth, and women's health.
Devin Bowman, PA-C worked in family medicine and urgent care in Baker City, Oregon before joining the St. Luke’s Occupational Health team in Magic Valley. He has received and maintained current certification through the National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Devin earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Des Moines University and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants.
Stefani Campa-MacFee, LMSW works with children, adolescents, and adults using cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, behavior modification, and solution-focused therapy. Stefani has experience working in a school-based behavioral program and in juvenile justice. She enjoys working with all patients to improve functioning and behaviors so they can live their best life possible.
Stefani earned her bachelor's degree in social work from Boise State University and her master's degree in social work with a mental health focus from Northwest Nazarene University.
Mark Crandall, MD, FACC has clinical interests in quality improvement projects and system-based care. He performs diagnostic heart catheterization, echocardiography, tilt table tests, and cardiac stress tests. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography.
Dr. Crandall is a Twin Falls native and serves as the site director for Cardiology at St. Luke’s Magic Valley.
Catherine Doyle, MD is experienced in family medicine, dermatology, and orthopedics, and a member of the Idaho Rural Health Association. She has special interests in prenatal care, pediatrics, diabetes care, and dermatology.
Peter B. Ferrara, MD is experienced in family medicine and obstetrics. He travels overseas yearly focusing on reducing maternal and infant morbidity and mortality.
In his free time, Dr. Ferrara enjoys traveling, gardening, skateboarding, snowboarding, sports, Latin dancing, and playing guitar.
Todd Hastings, DO, MPH is board certified in occupational and environmental medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He specializes in workplace injuries, return-to-work and pre-employment evaluations, OSHA mandated surveillance exams, DOT medical certifications, and disability evaluations and impairment ratings.
Dr. Hastings earned his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and served eight years in the United States Navy after graduating medical school.
James Irwin, MD serves as director of the Magic Valley Rural Training Track Continuity Clinic at St. Luke’s Jerome, and was named Idaho’s 2011 Family Physician of the Year by the Idaho Academy of Family Physicians.
As part of his practice, Dr. Irwin delivers babies at St. Luke's Jerome.
Joshua Kern, MD is a primary care physician serving patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Kern serves as the vice president of medical affairs for St. Luke’s Magic Valley, Jerome, and Wood River; program director of the Magic Valley Rural Program; and supervisor of the residency clinic. He has also held leadership roles with the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho’s rural training track in Jerome and Magic Valley since its inception.
Dr. Kern completed the National Institute for Program Director Development Fellowship and is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration in the Executive MBA program at Boise State University.
Melissa Merrill, CNM, WHNP earned her graduate degree as a certified nurse midwife from the University of Cincinnati, where she also earned her master's degree in nursing.
Melissa delivers babies at St. Luke's Jerome as part of her practice.
Nicole Ruske, MD is experienced in family medicine and obstetrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American Medical Women's Association, and Doctors for Global Health.
Dr. Ruske has volunteered around the world, including the Philippines, Nepal, El Salvador, and Ecuador. She is a certified sailing instructor and enjoys the outdoors, sports, theater, and traveling.
As part of her practice, Dr. Sugden delivers babies at St. Luke's Jerome and St. Luke's Magic Valley.
