Kristina Brown, DO practices family medicine with special interest in women’s health, geriatrics, and osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMT). She has training and extensive experience in treating patients with general OMT, as well as the Fascial Distortion Model™. She also enjoys working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and offers a safe space for gender-affirming primary care.
Dr. Brown believes all medical decisions should be shared between the patient and doctor. Her goal is treatment of the whole person through preventative early screenings and lifestyle changes to prevent further progression of disease.
Dr. Brown completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Portland and medical degree at Des Moines University. After completing her residency at Providence Milwaukie Family Medicine, she worked in Oregon before moving back home to Idaho. She enjoys exploring the cities and parks with her husband, son, and dog.
Michael McRae, DO works to promote longevity while helping maintain an excellent quality of life. For this reason, he has a special interest in cardiometabolic health.
Dr. McRae focuses on preventing and treating diabetes, fatty liver disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and obesity. He prefers lifestyle changes to address and even reverse these conditions whenever possible. He recognizes these changes can be difficult and tries to avoid causing feelings of guilt and shame when developing plans that fit with an individual's desires.
Dr. McRae completed a fellowship in diabetology and sees patients specifically for type 1, type 2 and other forms of diabetes. During his training, he utilized the latest technologies such as insulin pumps, CGMs, and smart insulin pens which he tailors to patients' individual needs. Although diabetes can be expensive, he looks for ways to save patients money while still providing the best care available.
In his free time, Dr. McRae enjoys life with his wife and children by traveling, discovering new parks, making delicious food, and exploring the outdoors.
Sarah Porter, MD has professional interests ranging from nutrition and advanced reproductive care to migrant health and primary care counseling. She is skilled in and sensitive to the particular medical needs of the LGBTQ+ community, with additional training in relevant gender and sexual health issues. Dr. Porter always seeks to empower and educate her patients to partner in their health care.
Heather Powell, FNP-C is passionate about primary care and enjoys helping patients live healthy and active lifestyles. She emphasizes prevention in her practice, and encompasses diagnosis of common and complex ailments while managing illnesses for all ages and genders. She earned a bachelor's degree in microbiology from the University of Idaho and one in nursing from Idaho State University. Heather earned her master's degree in nursing, family nurse practitioner, from Frontier Nursing University.
Sean Rutschke, DO loves caring for patients of all ages. He has special interest in disease prevention and obesity medicine, and enjoys the challenge of managing chronic medical conditions. Dr. Rutschke is also certified in integrative medicine and his treatment approach focuses on optimizing traditional medical treatments and incorporating evidence-based complementary medicine methods including herbal medication, vitamins, and supplements.
Originally from Idaho, Dr. Rutschke enjoys being outdoors, fishing, and spending as much time as he can with his family.
