Meet Our Parent Mentors

Sheri

Sheri is a mentor for parents caring for a child with T-cell lymphoma. She also offers mentorship related to oncology care services.

I am mom to Emry, Aden, and Liam. Aden is our our cancer survivor; he was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma at two years old. There were many struggles navigating cancer, its side effects, and being a mom to (then) four-month old and four-year old children while still working.

I continue to work now and have started a nonprofit to support families like mine who are affected by pediatric cancer. My hope is to make this journey somehow easier for others by listening, sharing, and supporting them through what can feel overwhelming. I’ve learned it takes a network of support. There are so many resources available, but navigating them can be challenging. I look forward to helping in any way I can.

You are not alone.

Caring for a child with complex medical needs can be complicated and overwhelming. Support from someone navigating similar challenges can make all the difference.
