About Peter J. Giordano

Biography

Peter Giordano, NP is a nurse practitioner who cares for a wide variety of cardiology patients. He is committed to delivering compassionate, high quality care and also appreciates the opportunity to support his patients' best quality of life through health and wellness education. He is passionate about lifestyle and risk factor modification in order to prevent the development of cardiovascular disease. Through utilization of a team approach, Peter helps care for individuals suffering from coronary artery disease, basic arrhythmias, valvular heart disease and heart failure.

Peter earned a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science from Western State Colorado University. He later completed an additional bachelor's degree in nursing at Loyola University Chicago, where he then went on to earn a master's degree in nursing/family nurse practitioner studies. He has previously practiced in emergency medicine, urgent care and retail health. Each year he participates in extensive education with Mayo Clinic and the American College of Cardiology. He is the process of pursuing advanced cardiovascular certification.

Beyond his work in cardiology, Peter volunteers with the American Red Cross and serves as a clinical preceptor for nursing students at Boise State University

Peter is married with one child. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors running, playing tennis, golfing, biking, fishing, hiking, camping, skiing and snowboarding. He also loves chess, backgammon, cooking, playing guitar, and building Legos with his son.
