Due to the overwhelming surge in COVID-19 cases and the strain it has placed on health care capacity in the communities we serve, the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has activated crisis standards of care statewide. We are open and available to see patients, but you may experience delays at our ERs, hospitals, and clinics. We appreciate your patience. Access more info on COVID testing, vaccination, visitor policy, hospitalization data, and FAQs.

Nampa Girl to be Named Idaho Champion for Children’s Miracle Network

  • WHAT: Representatives from Wal-Mart and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital will name this year’s Children’s Miracle Network Champion Child for Idaho. Five-year-old Gracy Lancaster and her family will receive an all-expense paid trip to Walt Disney World and a trip to Washington D.C. to participate in activities with other state Champion children. Wal-Mart will also provide a $500 gift card.
  • WHEN: 3:30 p.m., Thursday, May 12 at the Nampa Wal-Mart Super Center, 5875 East Franklin Road.
  • WHO: Gracy suffers from Wolff Parkinson White syndrome, a heart condition in which she has extra electrical pathways in her heart that can lead to episodes of rapid heart rate. Gracy and her family will attend the announcement and be available for interviews. Officials from Wal-Mart and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital will also be available for interviews.
  • WHY: Children’s Miracle Network, Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club sponsor the annual “Champions Across America” program. Each year, a child with a remarkable medical story is chosen from each state. The Champions serve as ambassadors for the 17 million children who are treated at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals each year.
Children’s Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals. St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital is Idaho’s only Children’s Miracle Network affiliated hospital. Wal-Mart's support for the Children's Miracle Network began in 1987. Since that time, Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members have raised and contributed more than $500 million for children’s hospitals.
